Hygge

“Hygge” – a feeling of contentment, the enjoyment of simplicity, being cozy. The Scandinavian word “hygge” (hee-guh or hoo-guh, depending on where you are in the world) has been used to describe all of these feelings, an ode to feeling safe, warm and happy. I imagine hygge in my life as sitting by an indoor fireplace, a book in my hand with a glass of wine or coffee. I look out the window and see a wonderful display of nature and I have no where else I need to be. The concept of hygge is beautiful to me, and I knew I had to make a candle that encapsulates this. This scent has taken me the longest to figure out out of all of my scent ideas – but finally, I found the perfect blend.

Hygge smells like tea, leather, paper, cedar, and sandalwood. To me, it reminds me of opening an old book and taking a sniff. I hope you enjoy this one, especially in moments when you feel hygge.
